Continuing on in my series of flowers & painting the characters they remind me of...

These White Lite sunflowers are such a cute combo of pastel yellows with some hints of green and orange in their centers. It immediately made me think of Isabelle from Animal Crossing (it's one of the only games my sisters and I could all agree on & you can grownflowers in the game!)

Weed Dating is happening at Flower Boy Farm on May 2, 3–5pm a community night for singles ages 30–50 who want to meet people the old fashioned way.

Here’s how it works: you’ll get a tour of the farm, meet your fellow weed daters, then get paired off for some light farm work: weeding, planting, that kind of thing. You’ll rotate regularly so you have a chance to meet everyone. Light refreshments provided.

This is a working farm, so wear something you can move in and close-toed shoes.

No flower expertise required!

Spots are limited and tickets are $10, link in bio to grab yours before they’re gone.

The flowers don’t care about any of that. They just need to go in the ground.

We open late spring, and between now and then you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at what it actually takes to grow a field full of flowers.

Whether you're coming out to pick something for someone you love, someone you miss, or yourself after a long week, there's a spot for you here.

It sucks to admit it, but a lot of plants I grow this year are gonna die — and that's okay!

I'm [foolishly] growing around 70 different types of flowers this year (nearly 200 colors & varieties in total), and all of them will need different care. Sunlight, water, nutrients, and temperature requirements differ for all of these! And especially for new ones I haven't grown before — like the sad cerinthe in this video — it'll be a learning experience to figure out how to grow them. Just gotta make sure we learn from the failures 🤘👨‍🌾
